Bathtub Dilemma

Should you install a bathtub when decorating your house? There are many different opinions on this issue, and there seem to be a lot of reasons for both installing and not installing a bathtub.

Some people believe that a bathtub is a great way to relax after a long day at work, while others think that it takes up too much space and is not used often enough to justify the cost.

Advantages of installing a bathtub:

1. For people who love taking baths, having a bathtub at home can be a real treat. A proper bath can help you relax and take care of your skin, and it’s always more reassuring to take a bath in your own bathroom rather than in a public one.

2. Bathtubs can be used for a variety of purposes. For example, many people use their bathtubs to wash clothes or larger items such as blankets and duvets. This can be very convenient, as the capacity of washing machines is often limited.

3. For people with poor physical conditions, such as heavy moisture or discomfort in their legs or back, taking regular hot baths can be very beneficial. Soaking in a hot bath for half an hour can have therapeutic effects and help improve your overall health.

Disadvantages of installing a bathtub:

1. A good, comfortable bathtub can be quite expensive, often costing several thousand dollars. In addition to the cost of the bathtub itself, there are also other accessories to consider, which can add to the overall expense.

2. Bathtubs take up a lot of space, and if your bathroom is not large enough, it can make the room feel very cramped. Additionally, the space above the bathtub cannot be utilized like it can with a toilet or shower.

3. The water consumption of a bathtub is much higher than that of a normal shower, which can increase your water expenses over time. However, many manufacturers have taken this into account and have designed bathtubs with water release switches that allow you to reuse the bathwater for other purposes such as flushing the toilet or watering plants.

Whether or not you should install a bathtub when remodeling your house depends on your personal needs and preferences. If you have enough space and enjoy taking baths, then it might be worth considering.

However, if you don’t take baths often and are concerned about the cost and space requirements, then it might not be necessary to install one.
